THE DACIAN GOLD we have heard of in istory is not just an abstract notion. It dit exist , but much of it foll into the hands of the world"s great predators. In 1912 according to the statistics of the time of the total world gold production, almost 25% wa provided by the exploitation in the APUSENI MOUNTAINS.
      If we take it from the beginning , we will see hov our people have wasted  their most precios wealth.

      For any connoisseur , in the world gold are located in hard to reach areas and exolorers face obstacles from nature , diseases ,viruses , lack of road infrastructure , etc.
       Romania is protected as a country from these obstacles. There are no harsh conditions for exploration and exploitation and the infrastructure is good and appreciable enough for exploration and exploitation.
      The gold quadrangle  represents an area in the Apuseni Mountains with important gold deposits , delimited from the cities DEVA and BRAD fromHunedoara , respectively Baia de Aries and Zlatna from Alba. The quadrangle includes the mines in the area of Rosia Montana-Bucium, Baia de Aries, Almas-Stanija and Brad -Sacaramb , wich delivered tens of tons of gold and silver during the centuries of exploitatoin.
    From a mineralogical point of view , the native gold in this area is known for its high silver content (20-25%), to which is added  tellurium (0,1%).The mines in the Apuseni Mountains also other minerals for the first time in the world , such as silvanite and saccharamitul.
     Mining projects in the ,, Golden Quadrangle"
    Experts estimate tha direct reserves , wich can be exploited , are about 700 tons of gold. In the Rosia Montana perimeter there are about 300 tons , in Rovina - about 200 tons , and Certej -about 120 tons. Exploration-exploitation projects have been started in all three perimeters , but at least in Rosia Montana the investment is blocked. It is these studies that have made the mining perimeters in Apusenivery attractive for investors. The first ,,attacked" was Rosia Montana , a project in the phase of issuing  the environmental agreement. Rosia Montana Gold Corporation also holds an exploration license for the Bucium perimeter where it intented to expand the operation after the Rosia Montana project began.
